Sicknesses have a noticeable affect on our health, but can also really affect our daily lives and schedules. Because one is sick we have to take time to rest and miss out on certain events to do just that. Yet if we would have rested enough beforehand, we might not have become sick so easily.
This past week I was feeling a little sick with a stuffy nose and an unnoticeable sore throat so I drank a few teas in hope for it to go away. What I didn't pair up with the teas was a good and restful night, instead I stayed up doing homework and only received a few hours of sleep. Upon these actions I woke up in the morning feeling more sick than the night before because my body was already becoming vulnerable to the cold I was getting and I did not give it enough time to rest and fight the sickness. The entire day I felt groggy and unenergized. Come to find out, one night I decided it was time I got enough sleep because I was exhausted and so I did just that and I couldn't believe it but I felt so much better! I no longer felt as tired and I also was no longer feeling sickly. I one was amazed, but two ashamed that I hadn't done this before and it could've fixed most of my problems and would have allowed me to not miss some events. Sleep is important for our health's!

It’s interesting to see how adding all these relieving aids in order to feel better comes to mind in the form of medications, food diets, and supplements but not once does it cross our mind first that we need sleep to naturally recover!
